There are a number of volunteering opportunities here at The Living Room from regular hours to ad hoc support.
In the Larder
Explaining the larder to new customers, supporting customers to do their weekly larder shop, sharing any promotions or free items and cleaning and organising shelves
In the Café
Depending on experience, we train volunteers to serve our Barista coffee, cooking meals and clearing tables.
Collections
An important part of what we do is collecting food waste and excess food from supermarkets and restaurants. This often takes place in the evenings in unsociable hours Monday to Friday. Great if you want to help but are busy during the day.
Volunteer Sign Up Form
From time to time we could really use some help from hands on people. Register your interest to find out when volunteering days are organised from maintenance, removals, general clearance and decorating. Sometimes it can even be lending a hand at a festival!
